I own a 1974 triumph spitfire.  Started to take it out for a drive today and just pulled out of the driveway when I lost the clutch.  Now I thought I heard a low thumb but again this is a LBC so with that in mind let me continue.  There was no pressure on the clutch pedal. I could shift into any gear with ease whether or not the engine was on or not.   No matter what gear, it felt like neutral.  With the inability to drive while in gear my son and I pushed it back to house.  I check both the master and slave and didn’t see any leakage.  I did notice that before this happen when ever I put the car in neutral I could hear a thumping sound, low as it was, when I depress the clutch in it would go away.  (Release bearing)?

Any hints, I’m new to this.  So any suggestions would help or if you point me in the direction of a reputable repair shop.
